About the role
- You will set the technical standard for performance, resiliency, security, accessibility, and maintainability in our React-based applications, while partnering closely with backend and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Architecture & Systems Design: Architect and evolve React-based enterprise web applications, ensuring scalability, performance, accessibility, and observability.
- Establish and enforce responsive design, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and internationalization best practices.
- Optimize edge delivery and caching strategies (Cloudflare or other CDNs) for global performance.
- Drive adoption of developer productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding solutions.
- Establish coding standards, design system adoption, and code review practices across geo-distributed teams.
- Collaboration & Influence Partner with backend architects and product managers to align on end-to-end application architecture, technical roadmap, and release strategies.
- Facilitate design reviews, proof-of-concept initiatives, and technical workshops.
Requirements
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale, React-based web applications with global reach.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, testing frameworks, and automation practices.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants for productivity.
- Experience working in agile environments with geo-distributed teams.
Nice to have
- Exposure to GitHub Copilot (or similar AI-powered developer tools) and Generative AI (GenAI) is a plus, particularly in driving productivity and innovative customer experiences.
Skills
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, with automated quality gates.
- Exposure to Generative AI (LLMs, embeddings, AI-driven personalization, conversational UIs).
- Experience with multi-tenant or multi-brand digital platforms.
- Experience with observability platforms (Datadog, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Strong ability to communicate technical trade-offs to executives and engineers.
- Awareness of responsible AI practices (cost, bias mitigation, governance).
