About the role
- The Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in a manufacturing plant.
- This role ensures that all equipment is operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulations.
- The technician will work closely with production staff to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Responsibilities
- Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment, including machinery, conveyors, and electrical systems
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
- Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform duties
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
- proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues
- ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Must have extensive electrical experience; certified engineer is a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with production staff and other technicians
