Responsibilities

  • You'll own the team's technical direction and roadmap, working closely with engineers on architecture and design decisions while supporting their growth.
  • You'll partner with teams across the company to understand their needs, set priorities, and build shared capabilities that make merchant data reliable and efficient to access at scale.
  • Guide the design of distributed systems that serve large volumes of data with high availability, low latency, and consistent performance.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to turn shared needs into reusable platform capabilities and make clear decisions about priorities and tradeoffs.

Requirements

  • You have experience managing engineers, including coaching, performance management, and supporting career growth.
  • You have experience building and operating large-scale backend or platform systems, with a strong understanding of distributed systems, data access patterns, and reliability.

Compensation

  • The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
  • Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location.
  • In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.
