Responsibilities
- Manage and grow two engineering teams. Direct people management for ~7 engineers across AI Enablement and EHR Agents (mix of Staff Tech Lead, Senior FDEs, and Senior+ engineers on EHR Agents); coaching, career development, performance management, hiring.
Requirements
- 7+ years total engineering experience including 3+ years managing engineers as a direct people manager.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams of 5+ engineers through delivery of complex software projects on production systems.
- Strong technical foundation. ability to engage deeply on architecture, code review, and trade-off conversations even though you are no longer hands-on day-to-day.
- Experience leading platform / developer-experience teams and product-facing engineering teams - the dual nature of this role.
- Track record running internal enablement programs, developer marketplaces, or platform-adoption initiatives.
Nice to have
- Prior management of multiple teams or workstreams concurrently - managing two adjacent teams is the day-one shape of this role.
- Preferred KSA's:
- Familiarity with Aledade's stack (Python/FastAPI, Vue/TypeScript, AWS, Auth0, Postgres, Datadog) is a plus but not required.
