About the role
- The Ophthalmology physician is assigned to the Atlanta VA Eye Clinics.
- She/he provides comprehensive eye care for patients who have illnesses within the scope of Ophthalmology.
- The scope of these activities covers screening and follow up eye care rendered by the Atlanta VA Eye Clinics.
Requirements
- The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- PRPs must be fully licensed physicians (i.e., not a training license) and may only be appointed on an intermittent basis.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Nice to have
- The Ophthalmologist must be an ASOPRS-trained Oculoplastic Surgeon with a research history in Thyroid Eye Disease.
- She/he must also be skilled in advance surgical treatment of Thyroid Eye Disease and other advanced Orbital Disease.
- She/he must actively participate in patient care through hospital rounds, morning reports, conferences, consultations, participation in ambulatory care, assigned call duty, and other similar activities.
- Preferred Experience: The Ophthalmologist must be an ASOPRS-trained Oculoplastic Surgeon with a research history in Thyroid Eye Disease.
Compensation
- $124k-$400k
