Responsibilities
- Develop, and ensure adherence to, standard operating procedures, best practices, and safety protocols
- Participate in or lead Lean events, Kaizens, 5-Why investigations, and structured problem-solving activities.
- Work with R&D and other technology subject matter experts to optimize plant performance.
- Support and/or Lead execution of low-complexity CAPEX projects, including scope development, planning, engineering, installation, commissioning, start-up, and training.
- Provide off-shift support for continuous operations
- The Production Engineer will serve as a key member of the operations support team, providing daily technical expertise to enable safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- 3-5 years professional technical experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to integrate equipment, process and chemistry issues
- Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks
Nice to have
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience with Emerson Delta V process control system
- Lean Six Sigma training (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt)
- Experience using tools including SAP, TrakSys, or Power BI
- Demonstrated knowledge of PSM elements such as Process Hazards Analysis, Process Safety Information, Management of Change, or PSSR
