About the role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and deliver managing complex utility-scale ISP/OSP fiber infrastructure projects.
  • The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in leading cross-functional technical teams to deliver multi-site utility-style fiber projects, including common facilities, network infrastructure, OSP fiber construction (trenching, conduit, vaults, splicing), aerial/underground builds, and fiber backbone expansion.
  • With a strong understanding of both waterfall and agile project management frameworks, the successful candidate will effectively drive project execution while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end fiber infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage projects related to fiber infrastructure, such as OSP fiber construction, including trenching, conduit, vaults, and splicing operations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Implement deployment strategies using an iterative approach to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruptions.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in project management methodologies, balancing waterfall and agile approaches based on project needs.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in utility or energy sector projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe).

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing complex fiber infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of both waterfall and agile project management methodologies as applied to infrastructure deployments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, documentation)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments concurrently
  • Self-starter who is able to quickly learn new tools and gain familiarity with new processes and technologies with minimal assistance
  • In-depth experience creating spreadsheets, presentation material, and project/process documentation

Compensation

  • $92,880.00 - $154,800.00 USD (Salary)
  • Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
