About the role

  • One that forged the path for future generations of rugged SUVs and trucks and will do so once again.
  • But Scout is more than just a brand, it's a legacy steeped in a culture of exploration, caretaking, and hard work.
  • Respect for the past and the future by taking an iconic American brand that hasn't been around for a while, electrifying it, digitizing it, and loading it with American innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute vehicle-level validation activities to evaluate functionality, performance, usability, robustness, and overall customer experience across multiple software builds, vehicle configurations, and operating conditions.
  • Lead and coordinate validation trips, proving ground evaluations, benchmark studies, and customer drive events to validate infotainment performance under representative and extreme operating conditions.
  • Drive test execution and data collection using vehicle instrumentation, logging tools, diagnostics, and software analysis techniques to support validation activities and issue investigation.
  • Analyze test results, vehicle logs, and customer-facing behaviors to identify software defects, integration issues, usability concerns, and performance gaps, working cross-functionally to drive issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with UX, HMI, Infotainment Software, Connectivity, Systems Engineering, Product Management, and Vehicle Integration teams to communicate validation findings, support issue triage, and ensure feature readiness.

Requirements

  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Benefits

  • Translate infotainment and UX/UI requirements into executable test procedures, validation plans, and whole vehicle test strategies that ensure complete requirements coverage and customer feature readiness.
