About the role
- The Marathon Pipe Line Buckeye Area - Heath Division operates and maintains more than 300 miles of liquids pipeline, a tank farm, multiple pipeline stations and a light product terminal.
- This position is for an Operations Technician located in Heath, OH that will support Marathon Pipe Line's Buckeye Area - Heath Division.
- This position involves working with refined petroleum products and is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company assets in full compliance with all applicable DOT, environmental, safety, and regulatory standards in support of 24/7/365 operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain facility and equipment per regulatory and intercompany compliance
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Valid driver's license is required
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Must be willing to work 8-hour shift with rotating on-call responsibilities covering nights/weekends
- include executing and supporting pipeline Operations & Logistics, Damage Prevention and Right of Way relations, and performing Logistics & Storage Terminal loading rack duties as required.
- The successful candidate will be required to complete all necessary training to perform tasks associated with pipeline and terminal operations including but not limited to the following:
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in a related technical field is preferred but not required
- Previous pipeline experience with emphasis on electrical/mechanical is highly preferred
