About the role
- As a member of this team, you will contribute to diverse, high-impact projects, delivering engineering solutions that make a tangible difference in communities and industries.
- In this role, you will independently make decisions on engineering complexities and supervise staff, guiding them towards achieving overall project objectives.
- Assist with the project scope of work and schedule and may attend client meetings to foster strong partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed engineering tasks including project design, cost estimates, and design calculations utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.
- Prepare project documents, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, aligning with project objectives.
- Independently tackle complex assignments, developing new and improved techniques and procedures.
- Coordinate across other Olsson teams and direct team members on design tasks to maintain alignment with project goals.
- Work closely with project managers on the execution of design work, reporting overall progress and managing potential challenges to meet project objectives.
- Maintain project and client information within the firm's project management system.
Requirements
- You are passionate about:
- Ability to contribute and work well with a team.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Must be a registered professional engineer with at least six years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong understanding of International Building Codes.
- Working collaboratively with others.
- Having ownership in the work you do.
- Using your talents to positively affect communities.
