About the role

Responsibilities

  • The O&M Technician will be a team player performing operations, maintenance, and technical support to achieve safe, cost-effective operation and maintenance of the Nelson Energy Center.
  • Operate the facility during start-up, shutdown, normal, and emergency conditions in accordance with operating procedures and instructions to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and or control systems in a power generation facility.
  • Perform/direct housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe work environment and professional appearance

  • The O&M Technician provides the organization with a knowledgeable, multi-skilled, troubleshooting expert who operates and maintains a 989 MW combined cycle power station with 609 MW's of combined cycle and 380 MW's of dual fuel peaking capacity.
  • shift schedules in a Team environment performing various team support functions.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of directly related operations, mechanical, electrical or instrumentation and controls experience (I&C) experience in a power generation facility or industrial setting.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Compensation

  • $37.35 - $64.09 USD Hourly
  • The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
  • Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
  • In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
