About the role

  • The position is responsible for to leading less experienced QC Technicians and receive general day to day supervision from the Regional Quality Control Manager and/or appropriate plant personnel (plant manager).
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of work instructions, procedures, and calibration of QC instrumentation referenced in the LATICRETE Quality Control Manual.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and monitors the execution of (G)ood (L)aboratory (P)ractices.
  • Execute 5S methods for laboratory organization and leads training of other QC personnel.
  • Lead communications with production personnel to provide a smooth, efficient production flow of quality products, as needed.
  • Lead the training of personnel in Quality Control procedures and updating QC procedures as needed.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing and QC environment.

Requirements

  • Lift: Must be able to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Push/Pull: Must be able to push/pull __50__ pounds.
  • Stand: Must be able to stand __75__% of the day.
  • Sitting: Must be able to sit __25__% of the day.
  • Twisting/Bending: Must be able to twist/bend _25__% of the day.
  • Squatting, Climbing and/or Crawling: Must be able to squat/climb/crawl __25_% of the day.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Minimum 5-7 years QC laboratory experience
  • Associates Degree in science or engineering or equivalent laboratory experience

Skills

  • Good verbal, written, and math skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skill.
  • Capable of participating in Quality Control and Environmental Safety Organizations
  • Organized and meticulous.
  • Intermediate computer/technical skills, including experience with Access,
  • ACT, Excel and Word.
  • ERP software a plus
