About the role
- This position is scheduled for 32 hours per week (full-time), with opportunities for additional hours based on staffing needs.
- We are looking for a flexible team member who is willing to assist with extra coverage when needed.
- As the laboratory continues to grow, this role may have the potential to expand into a 40-hour position in the future.
Responsibilities
- We expect that you will maintain a professional image in appearance and conduct; balance team and individual responsibilities to contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Provide an excellent customer experience with every encounter to patients and co-workers both in and out of the laboratory.
- Because you will interact with all ranges of patients and co-workers, you must have excellent communication skills to interact effectively.
- bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science, chemistry, or other life science per CLIA regulations.
- ASCP Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist - General or specialty certification in hematology, chemistry, or microbiology.
- Hours: Must be able to work varied shifts between 6:30 am - 6:30 pm, Monday - Friday in our Salem location.
Nice to have
- Previous laboratory experience preferred.
