About the role
- The Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Provide professional and courteous service at all times during banquet events.
- Ensure timely and efficient setup of all function rooms in accordance with event specifications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory levels of banquet supplies and equipment.
- Work with the Banquet Manager to manage event schedules and last-minute changes.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service flow during events.
- This role works closely with the Banquet Manager to coordinate banquet operations, supervise staff, and maintain service standards for all events.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a supervisory role.

Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of banquet setups, service standards, and health/safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and event management software.
- Primarily an indoor work environment with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 20 lbs.
- Requires walking and standing for extended periods, with occasional lifting and handling of event equipment.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation
- Pay Range: $15/ hour plus tips
