About the role
- Receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Storing, stacking, palletizing, and moving materials within a warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Applicants must have experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to independently perform the duties typically required of a Materials Handler.
- Applicants must meet the following Screen-Out element, Job Element 73 Ability to do the work of a Materials Handler (PPW) without more than normal supervision to be considered for this position.
- The screen-out element for this position is: Job Element 73 Ability to do the work of a Materials Handler (PPW) without more than normal supervision.
- Have completed a formal, recognized apprenticeship or GPO journeyperson training program, or possess substantially equivalent practical experience in the trade of the vacancy
- Have at least 1 year of journeyperson experience subsequent to completion of the above apprenticeship or training
- Have served a minimum of 1 year in Career or Career-Conditional appointment in the GPO.(add supervisory statement from MP Plan).
- Have served at least 1 year in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
Skills
- These duties require skill in Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material handling equipment.
