About the role

As the Technician I, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting facility and system drawings, diagrams, and schematics to ensure a thorough understanding of the infrastructure.
This role is integral to maintaining the safety and functionality or our facilities and requires a professional with a strong background in facility and equipment operations.
A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical - Application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

These position are expected to perform emergency fire brigade operations and shall receive training per 29 CFR 1910.156 (c)
MUST Hold and maintain a current/active Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) in accordance with security classification information provided under separate cover.

Must be able to obtain Yankee White clearance.
As appropriate, licenses and certifications required by the states of Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia shall be current and valid.
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related experience in assigned area required.

Emergency response, firefighting, rescue operations, and other actions under stressful conditions.
Wearing a protective ensemble that is encapsulating and insulating.
Operating under high Carbon Dioxide (C02) and low Oxygen (02) levels for extended periods without SCBA/Breathing Apparatus.

Certified in CPR with AED and basic first aid within 30 days of assignment to the contract (and annually thereafter).
