About the role

These analysis, measurement and control products are essential for gas leak detection in air conditioning/refrigeration and automotive manufacturing.
They are vital to equipment manufacturers and end-users in the complex fabrication of semiconductors and thin film coatings for optics, flat panel displays, solar cells and industrial vacuum coating applications.
Other users of our vacuum-based processes include the life sciences, research, aerospace, packaging, heat treatment, laser cutting and many other industrial processes.

Provide support with initial setup and basic operational training on new leak detectors.
Provide technical and application support as needed.
Maintain INFICON's ISO 9001 registration by keeping procedures and files up-to-date, recommending improvements as appropriate and maintaining an awareness of pertinent procedures in all departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
May require prolonged visual concentration on small or detailed areas (e.g., monitors, screens, spreadsheets, documents, and magnifying glasses.

Must be self-motivated to work unsupervised in customer environments which may include industrial facilities, assembly lines, laboratories, and semiconductor fabs.
Must be willing to travel during the initial training phase if necessary.
Minimum of 2 years of experience repairing semiconductor vacuum equipment.
Associate of Science degree in a technical field, or equivalent technical or military experience and/or certification.
Must be able to lift carry and push up to 75lbs on a daily basis.

Educate customers on best practices for leak detection relevant to their specific applications.
Identify opportunities to promote leak detector accessories and new products while supporting customers in the field.
Interface with our internal customers and make recommendations concerning Field Service Techniques and Applications.
Act as a role model by responding and assisting all customers in a positive and supportive manner.
