About the role
- Guide team members in continuous improvement initiatives for fiberglass boat manufacturing facility
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools and methodology to reduce waste and improve quality process controls
- Acquire & analyze process and quality data to understand, improve, and measure process improvements
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and partner with production team leaders to provide proper project selection to ensure projects impact key business initiatives
- Manage & lead projects from concept through implementation
- Modify / design / implement processes to improve production flow
- Work cross-functionally between production, engineering, and product development to reduce defects, improve product flow through the facility, and support new product launches
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective action to reduce process variation
- Design & implement jigs, fixtures, and other production aids
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mfg Engineering (or equivalent) is required
- Minimum 1-3 years relevant work experience
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, PIMS & Teamcenter Engineering
- Basic understanding of cost accounting concepts, techniques & principles required
- Travel Required:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Formal Lean/Six Sigma Green and/or Black Belt certification, strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical & data analysis skills, careful attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and capable of working independently within deadlines
- Demonstrated solid background of execution.

- In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
