About the role
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on automated assembly lines and injection molding machines.
- Execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments of machine parts, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC ladder logic diagrams to facilitate troubleshooting and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
- Calibrate and adjust sensors, robots, and other automated devices to maintain optimal performance and product quality.
- Provide technical support and training to production operators as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements

- Associate's degree in Industrial Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Automation Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in plastics injection molding or high-volume assembly.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to work the "A Shift" schedule (specific days/hours to be defined, typically a rotating or fixed day shift).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Associate's degree in Industrial Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
