About the role
- Working in SolidWorks and partnering with suppliers and internal teams, you'll find smarter, more cost-effective ways to ship from overseas without ever compromising product integrity.
- Your work has a direct impact on our freight costs and the experience our customers get on delivery.
- Evaluate current packaging methods and identify opportunities for cost-saving improvements
Responsibilities
- You'll design and optimize the packaging that protects our fiber optic products on their journey across the globe.
- Design and develop packaging solutions in SolidWorks, including CAD drawings and specifications
- Partner with suppliers and internal teams to optimize packaging for overseas shipping
- Monitor and analyze freight costs and implement strategies that reduce expenses
- Are proficient in SolidWorks for packaging design
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams

Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Have experience with packaging materials and freight optimization

- Bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Compensation
- $65,000 to $85,000 base, plus annual bonus
