About the role
- The SLED Systems Engineer (SE) is a key member of the sales organization, responsible for driving technical strategy and execution across the sales lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute account strategies and technical sales plans
- Design and architect secure, scalable networking solutions aligned to customer business requirements
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Support evaluations, solution validation, and competitive differentiation during the sales cycle
- Develop technical proposals, RFP responses, and solution documentation
- Deliver customer and partner enablement through training, workshops, and technical briefings
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to provide field feedback and influence direction
- Support post-sales escalations as needed to ensure customer success
- Adoption assistance and fertility treatment support, where eligible
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex customer engagements
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Background in high-density wireless design and optimization
- Exposure to automation, scripting, or API-driven networking
- Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CWNP, or equivalent)
- Customer-first, consultative approach to selling
Nice to have
- Provide consultative guidance across networking domains including wired, wireless, security, and cloud-managed solutions
- 7-10+ years of experience in systems engineering, pre-sales engineering, or related technical roles
- Strong expertise in networking technologies including switching, routing, wireless, and security
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and architectures
- Experience delivering customer-facing presentations, demos, and technical workshops
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex network environments
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with cloud-managed networking platforms

Compensation
- This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of 180-240k USD.
- The posted range reflects the amount Extreme Networks reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role upon hire.
- Actual compensation offered will depend on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and work location.
