About the role
- Professional experience in one or more areas of microbiology, immunology, clinical immunology and/or related areas of biomedical science such as molecular biology, and/or bioinformatics.
- The College of Environmental and Life Sciences (ELS) was established in 2023 to strengthen cross-disciplinary collaboration, enhance academic expertise, and advance excellence in research and teaching across the life sciences.
Responsibilities
- Previous experience in the development, design, coordination, and delivery of undergraduate units in microbiology, immunology and/or clinical immunology and/or related fields at the tertiary level.
Requirements
- An ability to teach into another area of the biomedical sciences, such as molecular biology, molecular genetics, or Laboratory Medicine, such as clinical microbiology, and/or related fields.
- A key element of this role will be to teach into, and support the quality of, the professionally accredited Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine.
- Development, delivery, assessment, review, and coordination of units in the Master of Infectious Disease Surveillance and Control, and the Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine.
- Contributing to the activities required by the course and School to ensure ongoing review and improvements to the Master of Infectious Disease Surveillance and Control.
- Contributing to the activities required by the course and School to ensure professional accreditation of the Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine.
Nice to have
- Lecturer (Level B): $115,512-$136,831 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
