About the role
- This role combines advanced Cisco networking and security expertise with strong Linux systems administration experience.
- The ideal candidate will be hands-on, security-focused, and comfortable operating in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP), and switching technologies
- Maintain network segmentation and security controls
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
- Implement and enforce network security best practices
- Maintain firewall policies and intrusion prevention system
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Manage system services, patching, and updates
- Manage system backups and disaster recovery procedures
Requirements
- Must have a current and active DoD TS/SCI clearance
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) or better is required
- At least 5+ years of experience in network engineering and systems administration
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment is required
- Experience with Cisco ASA or Firepower security appliances
- Must have a deep understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching
- Experience with virtualization platforms
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
- Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix)

- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure
