About the role
- The School of Public Service at National University invites applications for part-time faculty in Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
- The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of / or potential for excellence in teaching in both fields and a commitment to serving the university's diverse adult student body.

Responsibilities
- Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
- Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
- Lead classroom sessions onsite.
- Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in the field of Homeland Security/Emergency Management or related field from a regionally accredited university
- Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)
- 3 years of higher education teaching experience preferred/required.
- Must reside and be eligible to work in California to facilitate courses onsite at the Spectrum Campus and Military Installations in San Diego.

- Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. - Hourly: $26.63 - $28.89
