About the role
- This role involves performance analysis, strategic planning, A&D evaluation, and reservoir characterization to maximize economic value and recovery.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations on potential acquisitions and divestitures.
- Progresses well approvals from concept through executive approval.
Responsibilities
- Conducts decline curve analysis to generate short and long-term production forecasts to support budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field from an accredited college or university.
Nice to have
- Proficient in ARIES software and economic analysis.
- Proficient in Spotfire and other data visualization/analysis tools.
- Experience with Unconventional Permian Basin assets.
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
Skills
- Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Proficient computer and data analysis skills.
- Good working knowledge of industry economic software including ARIES.
- Ability to use production curve analysis (Arps) to forecast reserve recoveries from reservoirs.
