Responsibilities
- It is the responsibility of the Anesthesia Technologist to assist the Anesthesiologist staff; to clean, organize, and to prepare anesthesia and monitoring equipment; and to maintain collaborative relationships with Anesthesiologists, operating room staff, vendors, and other hospital departments.
- The position provides technical support to anesthesiologists and surgical staff under the supervision of the assistant nurse manager or designee.
Nice to have
- High school diploma (or GED) required.
- Experience in an acute care operating room setting with minimum one year experience as an Anesthesia Technician/Technologist required.
- Previous cardiac Anesthesia Technician/Technologist experience preferred.
- Current BLS-HP American Society of Anesthesia Technologists & Technicians (ASATT) preferred (required for Certified level)
Skills
- Ability to work effectively and tactfully and to represent MGH appropriately during contacts with the public and sale representatives
- Ability to work independently and under supervision within hospital and department policies
- Good verbal and non-verbal and written communication skills Previous Cell Saver experience preferred
- Primary Customer Served (Age Specific Criteria):
- Infants - Birth up to 1 year
- Toddlers - 1 up to 3 years
- Preschool Children - 3 up to 6 years
- School Age Children - 6 up to 12 years
- Adolescents - 12 up to 18 years
- Early Adults - 18 up to 45 years
- Middle Adults - 45 up to 61 years
- Late Adults - 61 up to 80 years
Compensation
- The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role.
- Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth's compensation philosophy.
