About the role

  • About the Job: LaunchDarkly is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join the Guardian Monitoring team.
  • Guardian is the safety layer for software delivery: it monitors releases in real time, detects regressions, and triggers automatic rollbacks when things go wrong.
  • Our goal is to make releases safe enough that teams can ship continuously without manual oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship full-stack features across Guardian's monitoring platform (UI, APIs, backend services, and data pipelines)
  • Own features end-to-end: from prototype and API design through production rollout and iteration
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers across Guardian and adjacent teams
  • Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews, contributing to sound trade-off decisions
  • Slow, inefficient development cycles, costly outages, and fragmented customer experiences are preventing developers from building their best software.
  • Maximizing the business impact of every feature through the ability to experiment and optimize
  • We're building a team that is humble, open, collaborative, respectful and kind.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably across both frontend and backend features
  • Proficiency across the full stack: preferably comfortable in TypeScript/React on the frontend and Go (or similar) on the backend
  • Collaborative and communicative: you work well across teams and functions, and you're comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Modern software delivery was supposed to be the foundation for a thriving digital business but reality has proven otherwise.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with feature flagging, release automation, or developer tooling is a plus
