About the role

  • The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for providing operational oversight and strong leadership to a growing team of associates and supervisors.
  • This individual will have their hands in multiple aspects of the facility, managing the optimization and execution of the Kitchen operations.
  • As Culinary Manager, you will also be collaborating across multiple departments focusing on providing the best experience for our eaters.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic operational leadership across all aspects of Kitchen and Marketplace operations, with a hands-on approach
  • Manage, coach, and motivate a team of associates and supervisors, providing them with the necessary equipment, training, and quality direction
  • Lead growth and development of direct team including performance management and professional development
  • Maintain weekly and monthly financial reporting (forecasting, labor, food cost, and revenue)
  • Partner with Supply Chain for an accurate ordering of materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand
  • Maintain relationships with Local and National purveyors
  • Oversee the Marketplace team to ensure all ingredients are properly sourced and received daily, and perform weekly inventory counts
  • Maintain a work environment that guarantees and promotes food & team safety, ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Sustainability policies at all times
  • Collaborate with Chef's onboarding and implementation of new menu items, as well as ensuring recipe accuracy during food production

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Supervisor or Management experience in Food Manufacturing and/or High Volume Commercial Kitchen
  • Proficiency with Google apps (Gmail, Drive, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ 5- year Sabbatical: After 5 years with CookUnity, you get a 4-week paid sabbatical
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
  • Servsafe certification or willing to complete upon hiring
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity and change
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills. Being able to speak conversational Spanish is strongly preferred.

Compensation

  • All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
  • Pay Range for this position
  • $85,000 - $100,000 USD
