About the role
- Childcare Teaching Assistants are responsible for caring for the health, wellbeing, and age appropriate education of infants, toddlers, and young children in a child care setting, under the direction of a Teacher Associate.
- Assistants are responsible for addressing concerns of parents and guests and will work with a Teacher Associate and/or the Childcare Manager for resolution.
- We have both seasonal and year-round opportunities available for this role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a cooperative and supportive attitude with other staff members
- Assist with daily tasks that maintain the tidiness of the facility
Requirements
- High School diploma, or equivalent, required
- 1 year of working experience in a childcare center
- Must be 18 years of age, or older
- Must be able to lift 40 (forty) pounds, on a regular and repeating basis
- Must be able to perform during the day without scheduled breaks
- Must be able to handle high noise levels and stressful environments
- This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to provide excellent guest service by encouraging engagement among all children in the classroom, in addition to communicating with parents/guardians about their child's experience during that given day.
Nice to have
- Some experience working with children from newborn to six years old in a supervised environment is a plus.
