About the role
- As a Gas Distribution and Storage Engineering Manager based in Akron, OH, you will play a pivotal role in crafting the future of our engineering services.
- Working Conditions: - Office environment. - Occasional travel (10-15%).
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop an engineering team with clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Drive engineering excellence through technical governance, risk-based decision-making, continuous improvement, and timely technical reviews.
- Provide engineering expertise, mentorship, and reliable support for operations, capital projects, compliance programs, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor workload, resources, budgets, contracts, and performance metrics to deliver effective, efficient engineering services.
- Actively participate in key industry committees and associations to lead change and ensure Enbridge's and broader industry goals are met.
- Demonstrated expertise in team development, collaborator management, project and financial oversight, along with strong communication skills, influencing capabilities, and relationship-building across diverse audiences.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited university.
- 10+ years of directly related engineering, technical, operational, or project management experience in the energy industry as well as progressive managerial experience.
- Proven leader of engineering and technical teams, with experience in utility, pipeline, facilities, automation, operations, integrity, or related industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, standards, regulations, and industry practices, combined with sound business insight and critical thinking.
- Ability to travel and work on projects throughout Canada and United States, with potential for overseas travel.
- Valid passport is required.
- Final candidates for this position may be required to undergo a security screening, including a criminal records check.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer designation preferred.
Compensation
- Ranges from $143,000 - $193,000 USD for U.S. locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
- Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
