About the role

  • We are seeking a motivated mid-level Electrical Engineer or Designer to join our team.
  • This role is vital in driving our project success across diverse sectors, including multifamily, affordable housing, hospitality, adaptive reuse, tenant improvement, high-rise, and mid-rise projects.
  • This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where your contributions will directly impact the quality and success of each project.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in electrical design for various project types and deliver projects across multiple delivery models, including design/bid/build, design assist, and full design.
  • Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.
  • Apply engineering principles to electrical distribution, lighting and power systems design.
  • Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group.
  • Apply knowledge of building codes and electrical industry standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection.
  • Perform site visits and issue reports.
  • Support construction administration, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
  • Proactively enhance technical quality by staying updated with emerging technologies, evolving building codes, and advancements in the industry.
  • Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents, ensuring cohesive design strategies and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar related field of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with NEC.

  • With seven separate services in-house (MEP engineering, Lighting Design, Sustainability and Energy Consulting, and Commissioning), integrative design practices is required at Delta E.

Nice to have

  • FE/EIT or PE license is preferred.
  • LEED AP is preferred.
  • Electric Utility coordination, including experience with submitting service applications.
  • SCL and PSE experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with design of Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure.
  • Project Management experience.
