About the role
- Title: Junior Environmental Engineer Location: Amesbury, MA Job Type: Regular Full-time What's the Opportunity?
- Anchor QEA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to join our Amesbury, MA office.
- This is a full-time opportunity to grow your engineering career while contributing to both local and national environmental remediation projects.
Responsibilities
- Support planning, design, and implementation of environmental remediation projects, including dredging, capping, stream restoration, and wetland construction.
- Prepare engineering design documents, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and calculations.
- Contribute to technical reports such as sampling and analysis plans, feasibility studies, and design documentation.
- Perform environmental sampling of soil, sediment, and water sampling,
- Provide field support for site inspections and construction oversight.
- Participate in construction support activities, including reviewing contractor submittals and RFIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental, Coastal, or Geotechnical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in environmental remediation, including investigation, design, and construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to have
- Experience with contaminated sediment sites and in-water remediation.
- Experience with sediment remediation projects (such as dredging and capping) and stream or wetland restoration projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in MA or NY, or on track to obtain within 3-5 years.
