Responsibilities
- The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Strategic and Tactical initiatives within Badger Meter to support changing business needs.
- This role will work with the appropriate site procurement teams to provide support on various corporate initiatives.
- The work performed in this role will support all Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environmental, and Continuous improvement activities to achieve Badger Meter's corporate goals.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
- Advanced Proficiency in an ERP system required
- Basic ability to read drawings desired
- Expertise in vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis
- take action to achieve results beyond what is required
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- 7+ years of experience in Procurement or Strategic Sourcing desired
- Key experience in managing RFP/RFQ processes, negotiating contracts, performing spend analysis, and enhancing supply chain efficiency
