About the role
- Position Overview SBLR is looking for a full-time, permanent Intermediate Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of public accounting exper ience to join its growing team.
- Your role will include tax compliance and the ability to identify accounting and tax issues.
- The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform all work related to the preparation of Compilation and Review Engagement financial statements
- Design appropriate procedures based on the scope, risk, materiality, and significance guidelines of the review engagement
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information in accordance with professional standards
Skills
- Ensure assigned responsibilities are completed efficiently and on timely basis
- Complete tasks and related follow ups in an autonomous manner
- CPA designation (completed or in progress)
- Public accounting background of minimum 2 years' experience in preparation C ompilation and Review Engagements reports/statements
- Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP
- Extensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of Caseware and Caseview
- Working know ledge of TaxPrep software
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online ( QBO)
- Experience with iFirm an asset
- Attention to detail
Compensation
- The expected base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards.
- The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
