About the role

  • As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Therapist/Counselor will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of patients.
  • This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each patient.
  • The Therapist/Counselor will complete all documentation associated with these duties in a professional and timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Document clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality patient care
  • Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers
  • Maintain professional boundaries with patients at all times
  • This person will actively communicate with support staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to patients and their family members.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in relevant field required
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating patients assigned
  • The Therapist/Counselor will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned patients, as required by contractual and licensure obligations.

Compensation

  • Compensation: $28-45/hour

  • Provide orientation and education to patients, families and others to aid in the therapeutic process
  • Collaborate with assigned patients in the development of written treatment plans; include patient and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning
  • Provide clinical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to best coordinate reimbursement of treatment services
