About the role

  • The Store Associate plays a vital role in Store operations with a strong focus on creating a rewarding experience for customers, donors, and volunteers.
  • Sales Associates effectively utilize the point of sales system, give excellent customer service, and insure volunteer engagement.
  • They work alongside volunteers and other employees, answering donor/customer questions in regards to pricing, homeownership, volunteering, and current projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized
  • Maintain a high level of cash management for accuracy
  • Environment: This position will be based in our Store located at 400 Cooper Point Rd SW in Olympia. Work in generally indoors, but requires going outside for load outs and donations. It can be reached by car or public transit. The building is accessible.
  • Training: This successful candidate will be onboarded and initially trained through a combination of in-person, online, and written trainings; they are expected to take the initiative to review materials as needed and seek understanding of new developments in order to perform their responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to accurately and safely operate store equipment such as computers, pallet jacks, etc
  • Must be able to organize, plan and prioritize work to completion
  • Ability to pass a background and reference check
  • Experience with operating a POS system

Compensation

  • Hourly: Position range: $17.13 - $18.00; expected hire range: $17.13-$17.50
