About the role

  • Muon seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Test team.
  • An ideal candidate is an expert in software testing processes, an accomplished software tool developer, and experienced with Hardware-in-the-Loop and Simulations driven testing.
  • In this role, you will be a major contributor to the best-practices and architecture of our software testing infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Build and support in-house software testing infrastructure, including hardware testbed capabilities as well as simulated test scenarios.
  • Integrate feedback from client teams to drive iterative improvements to our testing tools and procedures.
  • Lead by example with reliable estimation and planning.

Requirements

  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years' experience as a software engineer in a team environment.
  • Strong programming experience in Python.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g. Github Actions).
  • Familiarity with Linux systems administration and Docker containers.
  • Knowledge of C/C++.
  • Familiarity with common electronics test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers).
  • Experience testing embedded hardware projects, like robotics, autonomous vehicles, or aerospace.
  • Experience designing infrastructure or orchestration for running and reporting on end-to-end integration tests on large multi-component systems.
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop integration testing.
  • Proven ability to deliver reliable software testing infrastructure.
  • Willingness to operate in novel technical domains.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Fluency in statistical analysis.

Compensation

  • The salary range for this role is $184,000 - $208,000 plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Final compensation will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.
