About the role
- Muon seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Test team.
- An ideal candidate is an expert in software testing processes, an accomplished software tool developer, and experienced with Hardware-in-the-Loop and Simulations driven testing.
- In this role, you will be a major contributor to the best-practices and architecture of our software testing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Build and support in-house software testing infrastructure, including hardware testbed capabilities as well as simulated test scenarios.
- Integrate feedback from client teams to drive iterative improvements to our testing tools and procedures.
- Lead by example with reliable estimation and planning.
Requirements
- B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years' experience as a software engineer in a team environment.
- Strong programming experience in Python.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g. Github Actions).
- Familiarity with Linux systems administration and Docker containers.
- Knowledge of C/C++.
- Familiarity with common electronics test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers).
- Experience testing embedded hardware projects, like robotics, autonomous vehicles, or aerospace.
- Experience designing infrastructure or orchestration for running and reporting on end-to-end integration tests on large multi-component systems.
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop integration testing.
- Proven ability to deliver reliable software testing infrastructure.
- Willingness to operate in novel technical domains.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Fluency in statistical analysis.
Compensation
- The salary range for this role is $184,000 - $208,000 plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
- Final compensation will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.
