About the role
- An exciting opportunity is available within Aviva's Business Programs team for a Junior Program Underwriter.
- We're seeking a motivated Commercial Lines P&C Underwriter with Property & Casualty experience who is eager to learn and contribute.
Responsibilities
- It's crucial for this role's success to work collaboratively and autonomously, ensuring that deadlines are met. You'll support the team by logging new submissions, processing renewals and endorsements, and completing associated underwriting activities.
- Additionally, you'll manage mid-term requests and changes for medium-to-complete accounts.
- Our robotics tools will support you in processing monthly broker placements.
- You'll be responsible for negotiating terms and pricing with our broker partners to ensure sustainable, profitable business.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with our broker partners, promoting Aviva products, and prioritizing service levels will be key.
Requirements
- You'll represent Aviva at industry or broker events and provide feedback and support to the Segment Leader as required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lines property and casualty underwriting or a technical support function.
- You must be confident and comfortable managing a high level of autonomy while being accountable for your responsibilities.

Compensation
- The salary band for this position ranges from $50,000 to $60000.
