About the role
- Job Description: Ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets at assigned location.
- Responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring for potential threats, responding to emergencies, and enforcing rules and regulations.
- Work Environment: - Ability to lift up to 50lbs. - Ability to sit/stand/walk for extended periods. - Requires working in seasonal hot and cold temperatures and exposure to dust and chemical fumes.
Responsibilities
- Uses de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and maintain a safe environment.
- Documents incidents, suspicious activities, and other relevant information in detailed reports.
- Maintains and ensures the proper functioning of security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for extended periods.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of previous experience preferred.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong multi-taking capabilities and organizational skills.
- Works effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
- Ability to work with law enforcement agencies as necessary.
- Basic experience in Microsoft Office products.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
