Responsibilities
- Proven ability to tutor and support students across high school grade levels (k-5).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse student populations.
- Take and maintain attendance records based on student engagement and coursework progress.
Requirements
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Must be able to move throughout the building and campus, including classrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces.
- Frequent verbal communication is required to instruct students, lead meetings, and collaborate with staff and families.
- May be required to stand or walk for extended periods, including during supervisory duties.
- Must be able to lift or carry instructional materials and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be EX Certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and student data systems.
- Education & Certifications
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with Math endorsement (K- 5 or secondary).
- Familiarity with online learning platforms, especially Edgenuity, or willingness to be trained.
- Proven ability to tutor and support students across high school grade levels (k-5). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse student populations. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and take initiative.
- Previous Experience
- Experience in academic intervention, credit recovery.
- Background in tracking student attendance, academic metrics, and implementing data-driven interventions.
- Experience working with high school students in a support or instructional role.
- Prior involvement with test administration or coordination of standardized testing processes.
Compensation
- $50k-$95k
