Responsibilities

  • Proven ability to tutor and support students across high school grade levels (k-5).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse student populations.
  • Take and maintain attendance records based on student engagement and coursework progress.

Requirements

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Must be able to move throughout the building and campus, including classrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces.
  • Frequent verbal communication is required to instruct students, lead meetings, and collaborate with staff and families.
  • May be required to stand or walk for extended periods, including during supervisory duties.
  • Must be able to lift or carry instructional materials and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be EX Certified.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and student data systems.
  • Education & Certifications
  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate with Math endorsement (K- 5 or secondary).
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms, especially Edgenuity, or willingness to be trained.
  • Proven ability to tutor and support students across high school grade levels (k-5). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse student populations. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and take initiative.
  • Previous Experience
  • Experience in academic intervention, credit recovery.
  • Background in tracking student attendance, academic metrics, and implementing data-driven interventions.
  • Experience working with high school students in a support or instructional role.
  • Prior involvement with test administration or coordination of standardized testing processes.

Compensation

  • $50k-$95k
