About the role
- Physical Demands Lift and carry 40-50 lbs.
- Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight.
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking.
Responsibilities
- May collaborate with all clinical departments (a/k/a/telehealth) and designated staff at the patient's site for the purpose of facilitating and assisting with telehealth encounters between patients and providers.
- Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
- Performs validated and designated direct and indirect patient care activities to meet patient care needs under direction of licensed clinical team members.
- Actively promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
Requirements
- Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
- Knowledge of personal care and hygiene necessary for quality of life, and ability to apply this knowledge to patients in need on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of people with diverse backgrounds and the ability to convey respect and connect effectively.
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. *Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
Compensation
- $40k-$50k
