About the role

- Convergint Federal (CF) is a systems integration company that is focused on the physical security with locations in Maryland, Virginia, Alabama, and North Carolina.
- The Service Technician II plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems, ensuring the highest level of functionality and customer satisfaction within the Field Operations Department.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including but not limited to access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation of security solutions.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication and problem resolution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all service activities, including service reports, equipment inventory, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to contribute to knowledge bases and best practices.
- Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic/electrical, fire alarm & life safety, data-cable installation and/or building automation.
- Ability to read and understand design drawings, PWS, requirements docs, and typical.
- Understand Life Safety and building codes.
- Ability to discern need for escalated support and communicate need for help. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- The clearance requirements are determined by the agency(s) in which you are assigned.
- Convergint Federal will sponsor the level of clearance required.
- However, it will be your responsibility to obtain and maintain your required level of clearance.
Nice to have
- Minimum high school degree/GED required.
- Relevant trade certification preferred.
