- This role reports to the Head of Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with leadership, product, and engineering teams to design, architect, and deliver end-to-end features across our platform
- Build and maintain user-facing applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, ensuring high performance, accessibility, and exceptional user experiences
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using Node.js while integrating with PostgreSQL and other internal systems
- Collaborate closely with engineering peers to maximize overall productivity, exchange expertise, and uphold excellent benchmarks for code quality, system performance, and dependability
- Help lead releases and share ownership of release readiness alongside other senior engineers
- Mentor and support engineers across the team while helping establish and maintain technical standards and best practices
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Strong experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL, or equivalent experience with modern backend technologies and relational databases
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, preferably within Google Cloud or AWS environments, including CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure as code
