About the role

Are you ready to be part of a strong Smelter team as the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor?
This role is responsible for supervising, advising and coordinating the work of the mechanics assigned to work under their direction.
Warrick Smelter is looking for a professional to provide safe and efficient execution of assigned work as scheduled, supervise crew time, provide problem analysis for equipment history and appropriate response to emergencies.

Lead safety pre-job reviews as well as observations of work completed on shift.
Maintain close liaison with production, support groups, maintenance planners, engineers and other supervisors

You have the power to shape things to make them better.
This may be first or second shift and weekend work will be required.
High school diploma/GED required.
2 years of experience in heavy industry (aluminum, steel, mining, paper/pulp, etc.) and performing maintenance/troubleshooting on rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes etc.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, codes and standards.
Ability to work on other shifts and/or come in early or stay late as needed.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
