About the role
- Are you ready to be part of a strong Smelter team as the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor?
- This role is responsible for supervising, advising and coordinating the work of the mechanics assigned to work under their direction.
- Warrick Smelter is looking for a professional to provide safe and efficient execution of assigned work as scheduled, supervise crew time, provide problem analysis for equipment history and appropriate response to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety pre-job reviews as well as observations of work completed on shift.
- Maintain close liaison with production, support groups, maintenance planners, engineers and other supervisors
Requirements
- You have the power to shape things to make them better.
- This may be first or second shift and weekend work will be required.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 2 years of experience in heavy industry (aluminum, steel, mining, paper/pulp, etc.) and performing maintenance/troubleshooting on rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes etc.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, codes and standards.
- Ability to work on other shifts and/or come in early or stay late as needed.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

- Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
