About the role

BIM Operator
BIM/CAD operator will be responsible for creation and implementation of Building Information Models (BIM) for various projects.

Generate and/or manage BIM models for electrical raceway and telecommunication installation
Run interference detection to detect design clashes to assist project team with coordination process
Create, collect and process various 2D drawings of released areas for field construction
Manage 3D models for design coordination and submission for approval by Construction Management firm
Manage and use BIM modeling software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks)
Manage and use coordination, scheduling, programming, file sharing and collaboration platforms.
Develop length and quantity take-offs for material ordering

Adjust BIM models as directed by Construction Management firm and track changes to coordinate with Project Manager for change order pricing if required
Update model as required by bulletins released by Construction Management firm

BIM experience required
Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards, and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.
Excellent written and oral communication
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
Software experience with NavisWorks, AutoCAD 2018, Revit 2015 (highly preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Prior experience with electrical design is a plus
