About the role
- The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can coach and support team members, troubleshoot complex machining challenges, and drive performance related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- This role is responsible for providing daily direction to the CNC programming function while developing, modifying, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs that support machining operations for orthopedic implant components and related medical device products.

- The CNC Machine Programming Supervisor will partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Operations to ensure CNC programs and machining processes are efficient, repeatable, compliant, and capable of meeting production and quality requirements.
- This role requires strong technical CNC programming expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
- Enovis is seeking a CNC Machine Programming Supervisor to lead and support CNC programming activities within our Austin manufacturing site.
Requirements
- Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining equipment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, workholding, inspection methods, and manufacturing documentation.
- Ability to work under general direction while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work on or around manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Nice to have
- Experience programming and supporting CNC lathes and CNC mills.
- Experience with DMG MORI machining equipment preferred.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis machining.
- Experience with Swiss machining, mill-turn, or complex part programming.
- Experience with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Esprit, NX, SolidWorks, or similar CAD/CAM software.
- Experience supporting lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
