Responsibilities
- Support execution of special catering events for community partners, while balancing daily food services.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional environment, following all Wesley policies, operational plans and industry standards to meet the goals and standards of Wesley and our Food Services.
- Follow processes to maintain smooth kitchen operations including recipe documentation, inventory management, deep cleaning, and training others
- Maintain a safe working environment, by following food safety, cleaning practices, and proper use/maintenance of equipment
- Support continuous improvement and implement changes based on feedback as directed by Chef and Food Services Manager
- Use your culinary talent to nourish communities and create meaningful impact
- Through our work in children and family programs, housing and homelessness services, and newcomer support, we serve communities across Hamilton, Halton, and Brantford-helping people build stronger, more stable futures.

- Every year, our Food Services team delivers over 100,000 meals to clients using our social programs.
- We also provide custom catering solutions to community partner organizations.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED diploma required
- 3+ years of cooking experience in high volume kitchens, including catering services and experience in various kitchen stations.
- Strong knowledge of best practices and all applicable standards and legislation related to the food industry
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
