About the role
- Working under the direction of the Resident Engineer / Construction Manager, the CI is responsible for daily field observation, quantity tracking, documentation, and quality verification, serving as DDOT's frontline presence on the project.

Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Experience with field documentation and reporting
Nice to have
- Experience on DDOT, SHA, or other DOT projects
- NICET (Highway Construction or Transportation)
- Traffic Control / MOT certification
- Erosion & Sediment Control certification
- Certifications such as:
- Familiarity with:
- AASHTO and MUTCD standards
- DDOT Construction Management Manual
Skills
- Field documentation systems (e.g., Field Manager or similar)
- Basic quantity tracking and measurement
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Ability to maintain organized project records
- Work in active construction zones, traffic environments, and varying weather conditions
- Night work and weekend shifts may be required depending on project phasing
