- Role As a Buyer at AnySignal, you will be responsible for driving the success of our supply chain operations by owning day-to-day purchasing, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
- Your work will directly influence the pace and efficiency of our hardware development and production.
Responsibilities
- Own the NPI purchasing process, ensuring boards and components are procured and delivered for engineering test builds.
- Place, track, and manage purchase orders with contract manufacturers and suppliers
- Collect, create, and analyze supply chain data-including purchase price variances (PPVs)-to identify savings and drive efficiency.
- Build and maintain spreadsheet models for BOMs, budgets, inventory tracking, and forecasting. Collaborate with engineering on DFM, BOM updates, and ECO integration to ensure seamless transitions from design to production.
- Partner with production, logistics, and finance teams to align material readiness with build schedules.
- Proven ability to independently own and execute purchasing processes end-to-end
- Place, track, and manage purchase orders with contract manufacturers and suppliers; mitigate risks and recover schedule slips.
- you will manage purchasing cycles directly, build and maintain data models in Excel/Sheets, and collaborate closely with engineers and contract manufacturers to ensure materials are ready for every build.
- You will play a critical role in enabling new product introduction (NPI) hardware builds, ensuring parts and assemblies arrive on time, and identifying cost efficiencies across the supply chain.
- Ability to interpret and manage multi-level BOMs and technical drawings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of purchasing and supply chain experience in hardware-focused industries (space communications, aerospace, PCBAs, robotics, or similar).
- Strong data analysis capabilities and experience working with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, ION, or equivalent).
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in a startup or New Space environment where flexibility and speed are essential.
- Familiarity with PCB assembly processes and electrical components.
- Familiarity with IPC standards.
- Knowledge of environmental test flows (HTOL, vibration, thermal-vac)
Nice to have
- Advanced Excel/Sheets skills (pivot tables, index-match, conditional formatting
- VBA/scripts a plus).
