About the role
- This is not a single-layer role - you'll work across frontend UX, backend systems, APIs, and data models, making pragmatic trade-offs between product velocity, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Responsibilities
- Own product features from concept and UX through backend systems and production launch
- Design scalable backend architectures, APIs, async pipelines, and AI inference workflows
- Lead system design with a focus on performance, reliability, and extensibility
- Design clean, scalable data models across SQL and NoSQL systems
- Build polished frontend experiences using React / Next.js
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and GTM
- Ability to independently design and ship end-to-end features
- Strong system design and data modeling skills
- Built tight feedback loops with founders, design, and real users
Requirements
- Strong full-stack experience shipping production systems at scale
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis, Firestore)
- Backend experience with Node.js and/or Python
- Frontend experience with React / Next.js
Nice to have
- Experience with AI-powered or data-heavy products
- Cloud-native architecture experience (GCP, serverless, containers)
- Startup experience or ownership of large product surfaces
